On Saturday, April 13, the Accokeek Foundation will host the Earth Awakening Festival—an annual event that celebrates the reawakening of Mother Earth and the vibrant life she sustains in Piscataway Park. It is a unique opportunity for the community to come together and experience the wonders of spring while learning about Indigenous stewardship ethics and the natural beauty of our surroundings.
